The Trust River Walk 2006

Starting and finishing at Brinkley Hill Picnic Site, we enjoyed a River Wye walk courtesy of John Williams of the Aramstone Estate, King’s Caple. We discussed the problems of bank-side trees and the invasive plants Japanese Knotweed and Himalayan Balsam. We heard about the history of the Carey Islands, site of an important iron forge in the seventeenth century and the Ballingham railway bridge and tunnel
